Probate is the Court's supervision and administration of a Decedent's estate. Upon a person's death property needs to transfer to the Decedent's beneficiaries. The nature of those transfers and involvement of the court is based entirely on whether or not the Decedent has estate planning, and what that estate planning entails.
A lack of estate planning, failure to update estate planning or poorly done planning could cost the estate and the beneficiaries of that estate thousands of dollars in court costs, legal fees, and possibly even taxes. In addition, it will significantly delay the amount of time it takes to transfer the property, and force the beneficiaries to also deal with the hassle of going through the probate process.
One of the main goals of the Denker Law Firm is to plan an estate that avoids having to go through probate at all, and thus not only saving the estate thousands of dollars, but also saving the beneficiaries the time and hassle of having to go through the probate process.
If probating an estate is necessary, we can assist you to make the process as easy and efficient as possible.
